LATE SUMMER GARDEN TOUR IN THE FRONT YARD // Fall Garden Planning // Bricks ’n Blooms

Wait until you see how my late summer gardens are coming along! Today I’m sharing what’s flowering, some fall garden planning, and what’s not looking so good after an excessively hot, dry summer here in my zone 6a New Jersey garden. Notable garden flowers this week are the ‘Seniorita’ Zinnias, my personal fave, and the Mexican Sunflowers that I thought were all eaten by our resident rabbits. There are SO MANY beautiful blooms to see despite the heat and I can’t wait to watch the new beds grow, bloom and change through fall.! So grab a cup of coffee, tea, or whatever you want, and come join me in the gardens!

Hi I’m Stacy! And I’m a self-taught master gardener who lives and gardens in northern New Jersey, zone 6a. I’ve been gardening for over 20 years and enjoy helping beginner gardeners find their inner green thumb, as well as discover a love for all things plants and flowers. I love to bring the outdoors inside my home too. So come grow stuff and create beautiful spaces with me.

  1. So beautiful considering the drought and bunnies. We are in a drought also in N Calif and it’s been so hot here as well. It was still 103 degrees at 7pm last night.

  2. Stacy I feel your pain with the crazy heat & rain. I garden in suburban NY w/o any arrogation so manual watering has been a real chore. You have amazing huge property. Divide & conquer is the best way to go. Save money for sure. Keep up the great job. Can’t wait to see your finished project for Fall.
