  1. I love the science bit in your videos πŸ€£πŸ‘πŸ» I split my garden into zones and one day I might water one zone and then another day another zone. I also have an area where I keep a few containers filled with tap water to rest for 24 hours so that chlorides from water fall to the bottom of the container (important not to use the bottom inch or two of water in those container). It makes it more suitable for acid-loving plants and roses. Good points about the knuckle test and watering until water runs through the bottom of the pot. 😊 Also, every summer I do garden clearance. Inevitably, I reach the limits of my patience mid-drought and I start chucking away plants that don't do well in my garden to make space for new ideas.

  2. Ah yes, the realities of watering a balcony garden. I am a first time balcony gardener. I thought I was going to get a hose and some adapter to connect to my kitchen sink but reality set inπŸ˜‚. I use a watering can and water bottles. I don't even mind taking all the trips to the sink. Thanks for keeping it real!

  3. Sorry guys, but I had to keep it real with you! 🀣 If you have any good watering tips.. share them in the comments! ❀

  4. I have a small rain barrel on my balcony where I store old aquarium water. It is not hooked up to the drain, since I don't know what my neighbors above me pour on the balcony that can kill my plants.
