Everyone Iโve seen talk about them say that the edible leaves taste very nice and work in salads. One was growing down by the beach and I wanted to taste it so I did. When I ate it it didnโt have a flavour and it left my mouth feeling incredibly dry. I donโt know if it was because of it growing in sand or where it was but I felt like I had done something wrong.
And easy to propagate. Got a piece from a friend and grew for a month in a pot and planted it out in garden. Once that one grows out a bit ill grow some more cuttings.

hi. Yes it's lovely
I always knew this as Mesembryanthemum which I think is a synonym for Carpobrotus. They also had the common name Hottentot Fig ๐
They are beautiful, I am going to look for seeds online. I would love to have this growing around my garden.
