  1. Wow what a labor of love. So much work but it does make a huge difference. This gives me inspiration to start my in ground tapestry but I want to plan appropriately so I am not a slave to maintenance it the don't thrive. I definitely need to amend my soil for better drainage.

  2. It turned out looking so much better. I wish I could help you. I don't have a house of my own but you did inspire me to clean 👍 it's raining over here so I can't go outside 👎 God Bless you!!

  3. Lots of work, but it’s so rewarding:) Have you thought of getting a blower and blowing the leaves daily during fall ?

  4. Very nice front yard. The trees look good , they add height to the landscape as succulents are kind of low plants. Maybe you could ease your workload of grabbing the leaves if you get a leaf vacum blower. They blow or collect accoring to what you want and as the leaves are much lighter than the stones the vacum leaf cleaner would certainly make it easier for you.
Do you use the dried leaves to make compost?

  5. Melissa cool spending time with you in your garden🤗🤗🤗 great job👍👍👍
I have over past 12 months turning parts of my cottage garden into succulents. I love the look👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Over the past week we have had a heatwave in New Zealand. Sooooo 🥵. The succulents love it and are doing so well. The cottage plants are looking sad. Decided too do all succulents over the
    next few months.
Thanks for this Melissa watching you has inspired me👍👍👍

  6. Great job! It made such a huge difference 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼! Can’t wait to have a house to have a succulent tapestry ❤️❤️❤️❤️!!!

  7. Good timing with this. It’s our summer in Australia and I was just cleaning up my overgrown mass of an unfinished succulent garden after being away for 3 weeks. And it was heatwave and wild storms while I was away. The bushes I didn’t pull out, but my partner trimmed to be sticks grew like mad things and I couldn’t even see my succs. I really need to get back in there next weekend and get rid of the dead leaves like you’ve done.

  8. Looks so good! Your hard work really paid off. Wish I could have a succulent yard as well but my weather here in Utah won’t allow it. Need to clean up all my leaves that fell after the snow came and left tho. What a mess. Your video makes me wanna get it done but rain and snow make it not doable. So for now I’ll just enjoy the before and after of yours. Really nice job!!

  9. First time viewing your channel. I feel so bad for you.I follow Laura Eubanks from San Diego on YouTube. She does succulent landscaping. She hates large trees in a succulent garden. Because of the cleanup of all the leaves. I say get rid of the trees and you’ll never have to do this again. Replace the trees with large cactus and you won’t have to clean up this mess for years. But look up Laura Eubanks channel.

  10. Love your garden-the burro’s tail is so cool! Your hard work will pay off-it already is looking great!👍

  11. Hi Melissa you're like me cleaning up leaves and weeds and things is just therapeutic well not so much weeds anymore here in Florida. It's interesting how you have a rainy season in the winter and we have a rainy season in the summer. I love your videos keep them coming

  12. Your video is thoroughly enjoyable. You gave such good advice and the end result is beautiful. Just found you and subbed. Looking forward to watching more. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

  13. Our neighbor has 2 large deciduous trees. I feel your frustration. Lol! Love your succulents. I live in a desert and growing succulents is very challenging during our summer. But I just keep trying.

  14. I love the rocks too. They look great with the succulents and cacti. Some of your succulents have so pretty colors. Lot of work to do but they look so nice after. Well done girl.

  15. Your so inspirational .. that is a lot of work but at the end you get to enjoy the beauty of it all 🥰😍😍

  16. I'm planning on converting a traditional yard to something like what you have done. I love this look. Love the rocks. Did you combine a bunch of rocks or did they come already mixed? Would you mind saying what part of California you're in? I'm in Sonoma County and wondering if they would do well here.

  17. Great video, you’re very lucky to be able to keep your succulents out all year, here in the UK they are indoor unless we get some nice weather. Lovely plants Sue UK

  18. Oh my goodness. I’m getting ready to put small rocks in my succulent tapestry as the final step. My kids like it how it looks with just the soil but I really want to add rocks. I also have a tree nearby so I won’t be looking forward to cleaning out the leaves. I would spend all day in my garden if I could but I have a 9 month old that needs all my attention. I run outside and play with my plants when he naps. lol. So it’s a slow process.

  19. nice front yard, weeding is not for me too 😛 but i need to do it especially beside my tomato trees and to my yellow lilies.
