  1. Hi Janey, Just watched your Annie's Annuals video. I'm also zone 9 and have loads of Annie's plants in my garden. You reminded me that I'm due for a visit! I would love to know what the blueish evergreen shrub (about 4-5' tall) is near your front entrance.. some kind of Cypress maybe??

  2. Just found your channel! Daffodils are my favorite as well. Your espalier is gorgeous! What is it made of?

  3. Well done! Suburbia is difficult because you try to make the front of the house presentable yet trying to grow the things u want. I love the fairy garden – we need to set one up as well

  4. I live on a corner lot too and I’m building my cut flower garden in the front yard. The garden will be on the smaller but emptier side (only an orange tree at the end) about 1000 sq.ft. I planted irises and glads around the edges, a red hibiscus by the orange tree, ordered tons of dahlia tubers and started a bunch of different seeds indoors. It is a ton of work but know that it will be all worth it in the end. We have a lot of foot traffic because of a middle school nearby. I hope the children will be happy to walk by my garden and see beautiful flowers every school day. 😊 – Zee, N. Cali zone10a

  5. Just lovely! Have you considered painting you wood privacy fence black? I think that would blend and disappear so nicely, imo. Love wathcing!

  6. also, (just getting flooded with ideas) what if you put a dwarf boxwood edge all around your cut garden. or just across the front bordering the sidewalk? And paint whatever that dome shaped item is, black?

  7. Thanks for the lovely tour. In NYS we still have a lot of snow so it’s very welcome. If I need to use Sluggo I put a board on top so no animals eat it and water doesn’t make it lose strength so fast.

  8. Very pretty!! Do you have to put your spring bulbs in the refrigerator for 6 weeks prior to planting?

  9. Great! you represent 9B well. I’m a new subscriber in Sacramento. I love this video. Do you pre-chill your tulips before planting? I planted mine late so I’m hoping they come up. Is your Clematis in the sun? I just planted four purple clematis. Love your garden ideas. Since we’re in the same zone, I’ll copy some of your ideas. Blessings to you and your family 🙏🏾

  10. Awesome to have a norcal Sac channel. Our peonies stayed green all winter in sac. They are planted under trees so they were protected from frost. Our hyacinth bulbs came back for year 2 and actually look better than first year. They dont bloom for long but are an early bloomer.

  11. Really love your garden. Your narration was coming across really well when all of a sudden the music got LOUD and totally drowned you out 😕. Anyway loved the tour 😍 the loud music not so much .

  12. Love seeing a fellow 9B-er on youtube! So my hiacynths do seem to come back each year, just to let you know. You may need to feed them but otherwise they will probably come back. 🙂

  13. love the idea of daffodil. I noticed they stay in the shade by your house.what if I plant it in the full sun? do you think daffodil can survive in 95f heat?
