  1. Great advice! Hey Also get STYE™ STERILE LUBRICANT EYE OINTMENT. If shtf happens, we’ll all have less water etc. This stuff is amazing! Its gone after 1 treatment! Take care!

  2. i use saline solution with the eye cup. also have saline drops when eyes are dry. i gave up on contacts many years ago.

  3. Yes this is very good. I have something wrong with my eye now and they don't know what it is. Allergy or dry eye, they aren't sure. Always have some kinda eye drops.

  4. Put one cup (250 mL) of tap water into a pot and boil for 15 minutes with the lid on. Remove from heat and cool until the water reaches room temperature. Add ½ teaspoon of salt into the pot and stir to dissolve. Optional: Add a pinch of baking soda. Terrific eye wash. my first husband was an optometrist and always made this fresh when I needed to wash my eye out. He never used the bottled stuff.

  5. Look at God ❣️

God gives simple solutions even when we don't know we have a serious problem ❤️‍🔥

  6. Ordered my cups and eye wash. One more good thing in my medical preps. We are getting rain today and tomorrow in New England. Have a blessed day.

  7. I didn't even know they had such a thing. I will get one. Way more gentle than a vacuum cleaner hose to the eye.

  8. Do not be without saline or a way to make saline. My bro let his contact get old/stuck and didn't have even any saline. His eye infection has now left erosion on cornea which leads to much worse outcome.

  9. So glad you finally got that contact out and shared your tips with us. I have never even tried contacts because I know too many people with serious issues such as you experienced. I even hate bi-focal glasses so I have two pairs one for reading and distance. Excellent prep item for the medical kit for those that might need it when no doctor is available.

  10. We use a medicine cup or a shot glass…. and also if you take your top eyelid and lift out and up whatever is in your eye will come out usually….. that's why I wear glasses…. the thought of putting something in my eyes to see with is crazy to me…I'm sorry 😞 that that happened to you… Please be careful…..

  11. Best eyewash I ever used was one called collyrium eye wash, when I was young I got allergic conjunctivitis every summer from allergies and one year scratched my cornea so bad I had to wear eyepatch‘s for two days so basically was blinded for two days and I used Collyrium eyewash every summer afterwards and never had problems, All this is is purified water and boric acid so for every pint of water you would use 1/8 teaspoon of Bork acid you can buy a pint of it for 6$ at most pharmacies And also the eyewash box had an eyecup that you used for it

  12. I am at the eye doctor right now getting laser surgery on my right eye. I had the left one done last week. What a difference in my eyesight and it only takes about 2 minutes 😊

  13. That's interesting! Funny watching this, I realized I have two antique eye wash cups that were my grandmother's. They are glass and one is blue and the other is clear. In fact the blue one is still in the original box! So glad you got the contact out! That's painful and annoying!
I had to give up contacts because of dry eyes.🙁 Thanks for a great video!

  14. Did I hear you say you did go to the eye doctor and he didn't see it? 10 days after that it was still in your eye…. Boy-O-Boy!

  15. I stopped wearing contact lenses after one of them in the package was damaged and it cut my eye. Kaye….are you on any medications? The dry eye is from some kind of something you are injesting. I would get dry eye when I took birth control pills years ago. I pieced that piece of the puzzle together a long time ago.

  16. For those that don't have one of those eye wash thingy's. Use a shot glass. I just put my shot glass on my eye and it covers it perfectly.

  17. I once had a twig snap into my eye while trimming branches. Got an immediate appointment with an opthalmomlogisT, and found I had a scratched cornea, which required antibiotic drops. Don’t mess with eye issues. If eye wash doesn’t help, get into a doctor asap.

  18. So funny you should talk about the eye cup ..45 yrs ago when we moved into our home I was digging in the yard and found a vintage eye cup..it's glass and probably 100 years old..we use it often..😁
BTW..I'd look for another eye Dr if he couldn't discover your contact was still there 🤔

  19. thank you so much for that very crucial information regarding the eye cup. Being a RN forever, I remember using this years ago. It is wonderful for home use with foreign bodies etc. I am going to order a couple for safe keeping.
Been having a medical suitcase for the last years and do not have that but I will now. Thank you so much. BTW, I also wear contacts and have lost them and hate digging into my eyes making things worse. Look forward to your next update.

  20. Yes, I have an old glass eye cup that was my Mom's. It has a special place on my medicine shelf. First sterilize your eye cup. I make up a 'weak' tea for an eye cleansing solution or I have used it for eye infection, conjunctivitis. Using 1/4 cup spring water and 1/4 teaspoon dried chamomile or calendula. Let it set for about a 1/2 hour making sure it has cooled down. Strain. Then apply. Healing and nourishing for our eyes. Cleans them really good. Used 2-3 times daily until infection subsides. Do your own research. But it is my 'go to' whenever I have something in my eye or an infection.

  21. Good tip. Thanks. Happy to tell you that my volunteer tomato has fruit! So excited even if those tomatoes are tiny still. Beans eaten by grasshoppers and now they are after the carrots (not bothering to cover those as they are beaten up and few). Hope the grasshoppers die off soon, or get eaten by carnivorous birds. Grapes bless them have set new leaves after the double onslaught of caterpillars and grasshoppers. Rain 3 of last few days so that also is great for us. Thank you for every video you share. Helpful and interesting.
