  1. Linda, please rest, sweetie. I can hear the tiredness in your voice. Let Phoebe have free rein. Take care. 🧐

  2. So great to see you back at home and in your beautiful garden. Best wishes for your continued recovery and healing. ❤🙏

  3. So nice to see you back in your garden! Please take it easy, and I'm glad your getting help, and it's a good thing to put your garden to bed early this year. You need to rest! prayers for a complete and healthy recovery.

  4. I wish I lived nearby because what fun it would be to help you out in your garden. Continue to rest up!

  5. Family. I am 72 and have just started asking my boy's and grand children to come and help me do the tasks I have trouble doing. Most of my garden can survive if I get laid up for a short period.. I don't go on vacation so that isn't a problem for the garden. Some watering tasks can be done by timers, some are still hand watered. Happy to see you are home and enjoying your beautiful garden. Surely that will help you heal faster! And thank God for all those who come to help us in our times of need!!!

  6. Linda my veggie garden was such a disaster in zone 9b low AZ desert that I decided to treat my summer garden like you treat your winter garden from now on and put it to bed.. I also intend to plant more in ground then in pots. Just too expensive to have to water pots every day here. Your garden did remarkably well for the high temperatures and drought your area experienced!!!!! Unfortunately for me the summer has been so frustrating just trying to keep plants alive that I am just too burnt out to even do a fall garden this year. So we will both be taking it easy!!! So happy you are healing so well! Continue to take care and happy to see you at home again!

  7. After a wk.stay in the hospital I thought I was doing ok but was doing chores & got a dizzy spell & took a hard fall, & 5+ wks. later I'm still trying to walk & recover from a severe groin injury. I'm 73. So be careful & take your time. I've only been outside once since then so my garden's are on their own. Thanks for the ideas to recruit some fall help.🌺

  8. Glad to see you home and in the garden. You are so fortunate to have such great help. Praying for your recovery.

  9. LINDA, SEEING YOU BACK MAKE ME SO HAPPY, I KEEP PRAYING FOR YOUR TOTAL RECOVERY.
THANK YOU LORD YOU HAVE WONDERFUL PEOPLE AROUND YOU WHO CAN HELP IN THIS TIME.
    BLESS TO YOU LINDA.

  10. You do look wonderful but please do not overdo. Phoebe is the best to help you and ease your mind that your garden is being taken care of. You are blessed with good friends. Please take care of yourself. We will all be here when you are ready.

  11. It is great to see you home!!! Take good care of yourself so you will be all better very soon! Thank you for the good advice! It has been a very tough year here in the Seattle area too. Much warmer than normal and no quality rain since June, something like less than a quarter of an inch!

  12. God bless Phoebe. I’m so thrilled to see you home and know you have friends to help you.

  13. My o my so good to see you coping with all that has gone on! I really admire how true you are to yourself. And your personal strength. Continue healing and being your amazing self!

  14. Welcome back Linda.. it’s good to see you up and walking . 🤗

Take it slow and don’t over do it.. I know it’s going to be hard cause your garden is your passion of joy and it shows how much love and attention you give.

Thank you always for taking the time to share with us.

By the way I loved your intro of your car with the fall pumpkins 🎃… too cute!

    Take care. 😘

  15. So wonderful you have a sweet young friend to help! What a sweet serving spirit to help her healing friend!

  16. help neighboors when you dont need help…. can help you get to know each other, and your gardening ways….so when you need youll feel comfortable asking for help. local facebook groups, different local lists.

  17. I have had my asthma escalate dramatically and have been able to do very little in both my flower garden and my vegetable garden. So tip 1. I pulled out all my Dahlias as I will no longer be able to dig and store them. I replaced them with daylilies which are perennial and hopefully will give the same color. If I do a few dahlias…I will allow them to die over winter. Tip2. I asked on Facebook and paid someone to help me and she was wonderful. Tip 3. Let go of what you can't do. Be in the moment… Tip 4. Prioritize what brings you the most joy….for me that is Roses, Cannas and Tomatoes 🙂

  18. Linda, it sounds like you may have a little atelectasis. That is where the bottom of the lungs stick together because of shallower breathing in prolonged bedrest. I know the nurses would have had you coughing and deep breathing in the hospital. You might benefit from continuing that at home for a bit. (Retired RN here)

  19. Good to see that you're home and recuperating and enjoying being out in your garden. if only a little bit at a time. Prayers for healing.

  20. Oh, how WONDERFUL to see you back at home surrounded by your beloved garden! And how wonderful to see your sweet friend, Phoebe, there to help you! And also, how wonderful to hear Stewart behind the camera! ALL IS WELL! So glad you are on the road to recovery! Enjoy those beautiful flower arrangements, no doubt they will be STUNNING! Sending lots of love and blessings your way….

  21. Great to see you in the garden. Besides Stewart, you are so fortunate to have Phoebe helping you. After your visit to the nursery where she narrated, I had some questions bout misting my indoor orchids, and Keri was kind enough to have her respond to my email. She was so helpful and knowledgeable to my ???s. You look great but please take it slow.

  22. I have a wonderful sister who lives next door. She is always willing to help me take care of things I can not do. It is so nice to know I have this wonderful woman.

  23. I love to garden, and last year I face planted into our pool deck after tripping on the edge, coming out of one of the side beds. Dislocated my elbow (but still played sax and clarinet in a big band gig 2 hours later!), and had to take it easy, which was SO HARD! I just could not put any pressure on that arm for months, really (I'm 62). So I had to let it go….had to neglect all the chores I'd normally do, like the hard pruning and even weeding. This year, I'm able to work–I was able to do pre-Hurricane Ian pruning and other prep, and then post Hurricane clean-up, but my mom has had friends over to do some of the big jobs I have normally tackled in the past. She just reminded me today that she thinks I try to do too much at my age, but gardening is the healthiest thing I know! Glad to see you home and 'working' in your garden with your lovely friends!

  24. If there was a time of year, though, to have to be down for the count, fall is a good one because you really can just put everything to bed while you recover. Right now I guess my back up plan is my boys, but they are definitely what I consider unskilled labor 🤣, even the grown one.

  25. Glad you're doing well, Linda. Gardener's Supply recently had an article on 'Garden Bathing'. It may be something to look into while you are recuperating, as well as a topic for a future vlog. Take care.

  26. Linda— good to see you home and everyone needs a Stewart and Phoebe or can be a Stewart or Phoebe for someone.

You are making a wise choice to let the garden time rest, and explore some other areas in life. I know you will keep us posted and involved!

What types of peppers were the beautiful purple ones. Please share the varieties that did well-particularly this summer . I would grow peppers even if I didn’t eat them !
they are so rewarding to grow in Oklahoma and North Texas.
Not everything grows well here so God made peppers and eggplant for us😂 now just need some healthy uses for eggplant-the tofu plant. Take it slow and listen to your body. 😊Dr. April

  27. Oh Linda! This is brilliant❤ I always have had people that if I don’t know them I know people that know them… So good topic ❤

  28. Best wishes for a good recovery. You have two special people making us all happy to see things continue on during this time… nice to see the garden💕
