  1. We bought some solar powered LED string lights from Lowes and put them on the soffit on the backside of the house. It looks pretty nice. Lights charge all day, stay on for 8 hours. So if the they come on at 6:00 PM, they are out of illumination by 2:00 AM

  2. Definitely getting some of those string lights. It’s gonna bring the whole project together. Love it.

  3. My side yard is really small and neglected. It is 8×30 . I'm thinking in putting a small arbor at the entrance, some herbs, aloe, and small cactus. Oh, and couple of solar lamps and some shade.
    What do U think ?

  4. I love your short videos – yet they have so much information. I'd love to learn about different options for permeable hardscaping in backyards. I have a beautiful maple in my backyard and I want to replace the asphalt surface, and concrete paving slabs with a permeable surface so that the tree gets water. Thanks!

  5. I have a new (to me) house where the shed was put on a slight slope in the back yard that gets water run off from my yard and my neighbors.. I dug around the base of the shed and took away the bush around it. The slope below the shed has a fence (apparently this is my wooden fence) that has stone around it. I assume they did that for water run off. What would you do around the shed? I’m thinking landscape fabric and stones?

  6. We have a 6 ft wood privacy fence around our backyard. The top has rounded convex peaks that hit at about 6 ft. I want to landscape across the back along this fence but need ideas. I dont want to go beyond the top of the fence. Do you have a video on this? Thanks (Omaha)
