I wanted to show you how my flower beds in the front yard and south side garden have transformed through the years. Some of the plants included in the garden are daylilies and hydrangeas among others.
I bought this house in 2014. I didn’t start to work on the garden till 2015. This side of the house is the one that was more labor intense. As you will notice, all around my house is filled with rocks because of the slope. The front garden beds were also filled with rocks. So, as you can imagine, before I even started to think about which plants to have, I had to remove the rocks and put compost. Then, I proceeded to work on building the small retaining walls. I removed some bushes and planted new ones.
The first picture on this video was taken in the fall of 2015. Sorry about the quality of some pictures. Also, I am still learning how to edit. Anyway, I hope you find this video encouraging!
