Garden design is led by ideas about art, religion, philosophy, planting, construction, security and much else. It is an approach to the design of gardens which developed over 5000 years on the fringes of Asia and in Europe. The video concludes with a comment on ideas about sustainable garden design – which may produce the next style in a future history of garden design.
