I have put in 2 huge beds this year with no dig. I used cardboard but did not use the compost under the mulch. They are doing very well but i am curious to add the compost on my next bed. The hardest part was keeping the cardboard from blowing away! Lol
Iโve been wondering if you can layer over a problem bed that has ivy in it? Weโve done so much work this year so actually ripping it out isnโt very appealing. Thank you for sharing this lovely garden!
Love your front yard bed with all its divisions inspires me to create new beds in my front yard. Would the โno dig methodโ work with St Augustine grass and somewhat heavy clay soil after approximately 6โ deep?
I've been doing the no dig garden beds for aro0und 20 years. The first time I used newspaper and I found it breaks down too fast and the grass grew through it. Ever since then I've used cardboard and it's fantastic. The cardboard smothers the grass which acts as a fertilizer to the plants as it breaks down. And worms LOVE cardboard. I always plant right away by cutting an "X" to slip the plants in. Mulch on top as you mentioned and then wood chips. Save your back for sure!
I love your channel!!ย I am a new subscriber..is it ok to do no dig method in the fall.ย ??ย I want to do the front and back yards.ย I bought a new home and waited for all the plants to grow so I could see what was here.ย Will be doing many transplants.
Love your videos Yulia! So intrigued by the no-dig method. What about gout weed? Will this method take care of it? We've tried so hard to get rid of it!

I'm really looking forward to hearing more about the no-dig method.
Another nice video, thanks!
I think Micheal would like it if you planted some annual zinnias, red orange yellow hot colors and they attract butterflies

Very interested in the no dig method and awaiting your video. Don't quite understand how you can plant something in only four or five inches of soil?

Another beautiful garden. I'm so jealous that you can wear a jacket in August. I'm Zone 8 in central Texas. Still triple digits here.
