Front Yard Garden

Landscaping Ideas 🌷 DIY Front Yard Landscaping 🌷 Spring Garden Tour

Hey everyone! Thank you so much for watching! I am sharing my current front yard landscaping projects. This is a very informal vlog style video where you guys are going to come along with me in my front yard garden and work on various planting / curb appeal projects. I start out with what is probably my biggest planting project, which is planting 3 large Arborvitae shrubs along the front windows of my house. To plant those shrubs I have to clear out the current pavers, dig holes, and transplant a few tulips. Then I work on planting some lilyturf as a border in my front garden using my new garden auger drill attachment. Then I also replant those moved tulips, split and replant some hostas, plant a hydrangeas, and clear out my potted planters. I wrap up the video with a little mini spring garden tour and update on how all my transplanting and new plants are doing.

  1. Great job. I hope you show us the yard throughout the summer. It would be fun to watch it progress. Also, your shrubs are Emerald Green Arbor-vi-tee. The "i" is long like eyeball. It is a family of shrubs that include several varieties.

  2. Annie! Everything looks so good! I love the variety you chose. I can't wait to see the tulips next Spring. I've always heard hostas are very hardy. My dad use to share them with me and he would just cut in to them with his knife. You are going to have a beautiful yard to walk around and admire.

  3. Very nice , I really like were you planted the hostas , is going to look very nice when they are all grown with the statue of the blessed mother .

  4. You are doing a great job!! Hostas are very forgiving, so don’t worry about how you divide them! I would suggest that you always read the tags that are on the plants before purchasing, know the zone that you live it, etc. Also remove the tags from the plants and keep them for further reference. As gardeners we all make mistakes, things die, or need to be moved. It is all part of the process! Enjoy!!😊

  5. Great job! I know gardening can seem kind of daunting, it’s a lot of elbow greese and hard work! But it’s super satisfying everytime you walk outside or pull up to your home, just knowing that you DID THAT and it was hard work, but you got it done!

  6. Hello Annie, I wanted to let you know that there is no need to remove old mulch, it will soften and enrich your clay soil thru the years. Just add 2 to 3” of new mulch each year when you finish your planting each year.

  7. Why would you mess up your nails wear gloves I love tulips I just can't grow them well I'm sure everything will turn out great

  8. Great job… I'm a new subscriber, That was motivating. I love all the plants you put in especially the purple flowers your about to plant. ❀️

  9. I know some people like it, but that English ivy will get out of control….its very invasive. It will literally grow into concrete and can damage structures if left untamed. I'm fighting a ton of it planted before we moved into our house, ripping it all out but it's a huge job
