  1. Great info. Thank you. To make my potting and raised bed soils more absorbent I started adding coconut coir in the mix. Home Depot sells it ready to use in bags, and I’ve also bought large bricks from Amazon that have to be hydrated and fluffed up. In my dry climate it’s a lot better than peat moss at retaining water.

  2. How long do you water after priming the soil in the container? I’m watering before water starts draining out of the bottom of the fabric pots and the sides of the galvanized raised beds. Thanks for another short, practical gardening video. Thank you!

  3. Great tip. What do you do if there is just so much of the soil that has gone hydrophobic (a foot or more)? This sometimes happens in my large containers like the half whiskey barrel?

  4. To me, it's a no-brainer and I almost wanted to skip this video. Thankfully I did watch it and realized I'm the one with no brain. Thank you for your sharing. Finally realized my mistakes all this while. Thanks again

  6. I was thinking about using soil wetter, but your method would save my money , so thanks a lot for the tip 😍

  7. How often should the mulch on top of my fig plants that are in pots be changed? The reason I ask is because I am getting small mushrooms in the top of mine even though it is in direct sunlight all day.

  8. Ran across this channel and was like wait… I know that guy! πŸ’―πŸ”₯

  9. You can also add a little but if biodegradable plant based soap and water your containers.
