This video teaches how to grow fig trees 10FT (3m) tall in one season! Many fig trees in my orchard were killed to the ground last winter, and I followed my fig trees from total dieback to harvest all season as a documentary. The fig trees grew 10 feet tall, loaded up with fruit and gave me a harvest in the same season!

You really inspire me.
Thank you
Wow, I have to say I watch every single one of your videos.
You are so smart and interesting.
Others (gardeners) I like but are hit and miss.
Can you tell me if you think I could grow a fig tree in Missouri and if so which would be the one for me to try?
Would I need to bring it inside in the winter?
I have never grown one and never had a fresh fig in my life so I would really like to try, if possible.
Thank you for all your hard work in putting this video together ❤
WOW. This gives me hope for my figs I have just started this year around July and August. I am looking forward to my figs productions next year.
Amazing growth on your fig trees. Great information, thank you.
Nice video, thanks! I assume none of these were grafted originally? Astounding recovery – well done!
Will you ever replace the cordons once they are established?
I can't seem to keep one either alive or healthy in zone 8b. Every time I get one it ends up with rust.
God's creation is fascinating. Thanks for the hard work getting this all together to highlight such.
I'm in Portland zone 8b and appreciate your videos soooo much!! My six year old daughter and I are going to give it go pruning and cloning the one tree we have right now.
THANX FOR THE UPDATE
Did you give any fertilizers to your figs from April? If yes then pls name it.
Hello! Great tips. Thank you for interesting video👍🌻❤️
Hi, love your videos. Have helped me up my potted tree game and I'm now having excellent success with all my trees. So thank you from Spain 😊.
Would love a video about hand pollinating fig trees that sound very interesting. 👍💚
This video took so much planning and work, and we all appreciate every thoughtful minute spent on it. You give the most useful information to your viewers without any wasted talk. Though I am in zone 5 b and must grow in pots, I always find inspiration from listening to you and seeing the enthusiasm you put into every project. Many thanks. You are just the BEST👍
Do you recommend the paint bucket longer pots over the typical shorter nursery pots of similar capacity? Since fig roots tend to grow out along the surface, would a greater surface area pot be more beneficial, or would the deeper pot with more growing medium capacity be best for those figs not yet needing 10 gallon and larger pots? I know that I could never move the very large nursery tree pots and will have to root prune to keep mine manageable. In your opinion( most valued), how often would 5b appropriate figs that are 5 plus years old, need to be root pruned to keep them in 10 gallon pots? Are the growth rates of roots vastly different from variety to variety? Inherited figs and am determined to “ get this right”.
I didn't get to plant a fig tree yet, so I'll be doing that this Spring. Probably Chicago/Celeste/Olympic because I'm near Philly and hoping for one that can survive the Winter fine. Would it make sense to thin off the figs you don't think will ripen in time? Also, I didn't see the epic asparagus anywhere in the video. I hope it weathered the storm.
Will trees recover? Yes. Will trees be loaded up with fruit? Yes. Will theese all fruit ripe? No.
Wow! Great job of caring for your fig trees! It’s always a joy to watch your videos and gain knowledge about gardening. Thank you 😊👍
Great Video! According to my count there are 12 varieties in ground and numerous others in containers. I take it much thought went into deciding which variety would go in ground. Are you currently contemplating more varieties in ground?
How has your pawpaw trees been treating you? Have they exploded in growth?
Loved this video! Very interesting information. I learned that my poor, little, struggling fig trees need A LOT more fertilizer than I've ever given them. Thanks for your detailed videos! Love your channel so much!
Thanks for the video! What are the advantages/disadvantages of pruning it to one trunk?
I always want to see Dale!
Good roots make good shoots!
HI From So Cal. Great Video! Thanks for the hard work! You're the best fig guy out there! P.S. Nice banana trees!
