Starting and maintaining a garden can be challenging. Make sure you have the supplies you need to help you reap a large harvest.
⏭️ Step 1: Assess your property
Assess your property’s growing conditions. How much sun, shade, and wind will your garden get? Select the plants for your garden according to how well-suited they are for these conditions.
⏭️ Step 2: Buy seeds
Buy quality seeds from a reputable garden supplier for your garden. Cheap seeds are less likely to yield your desired results.
⏭️ Step 3: Set up a composter
Set up a composter to produce a continuous supply of compost for your garden.
Tip
Use topsoil to enrich the existing soil, especially for sandy soil or clay.
⏭️ Step 4: Use insecticide
Add insecticide to your stock of supplies when a pest problem arises. Make sure to use insecticides that are aimed at your specific pest problem and that will not damage your garden.
Step 5: Fertilize
Fertilize your garden. Fertilizer is one of the most important gardening supplies. Use an organic, granular fertilizer with a nitrogen-phosphorous-potassium mix of 15-15-15 or 20-20-20.
Tip
Get a soil test to determine whether you need to add anything to the soil or need to use a different fertilizer mix.
⏭️ Step 6: Enjoy your garden
Enjoy your garden knowing that you’ve stocked all the supplies you need to keep it blooming, bountiful, and beautiful.
