The trick to watering your seed starts and garden transplants perfectly every time is watching the top of the seed starting mix. When it becomes a light brown it is time to bottom water. Fertilizing should be done with any water soluble fertilizer at 1/4 recommended strength. Seed starts don’t need a lot of fertilizer.
