THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — With the weather looking great for the rest of October in the tri-state area, it might be worth heading to the New York Botanical Garden to see all the colorful attractions associated with Día de los Muertos.
Continuing through Nov. 2, visitors can see vibrant marigolds and a colorful ofrenda, which is an altar of remembrance, on display at the garden.

Attendees can explore a trail of beautiful floral displays and decorations associated with Día de los Muertos, while listening to the music of the holiday during the weekend.
There will be a parade for Día de los Muertos on Nov. 1 beginning at 1 p.m. at the garden. The afternoon will be filled with family-friendly activities honoring loved ones who have passed.
Before the parade begins in the afternoon, visitors can take part in making wearable art-making activities.
There will be musicians, dancers, “larger-than-life” puppets, skeletons and much more taking part in the parade.
Also worth checking out will be a giant pumpkin at the Leon Levy Visitor Center. The gourd weighs over a ton and came from a Massachusetts farm, where it broke the state record. The pumpkin will be on display through Nov. 2.
