So basically I think I left the corncobs on the plants for too long and the corn kernels seem to have dried out. Is there anything I can do to rescue them or make with them or are they wasted and just need to be thrown away?

Do you have any animals? This would be really good supplemental feed.

Popcorn maybe? Probably in an ideal condition for processing it into polenta otherwise. Can also make cracked corn for livestock. Is it viable to plant?

Tell us what type of corn you planted and we’ll tell you what you can do with it.

Heat some butter in a pan, add corn and a sprinkle of salt. Cover the pan and shake

popcorn! Its actually super healthy, something I found out recently when I had considered it just junk food for the most part.

Put a tablespoon or two of oil in a pot with a lid and put a kernel in. When that one pops put a quarter cup of the kernels or so in. That first one might get burnt but if you put it all in at once you have to constantly agitate it. Easier to do the test kernel and then just move the pot lidded to get them all going.

Not a good idea if you have a glass stove top

The silicone poppers for the microwave work phenomenally too

Make a heat pack with them.

Dry them further and then grind up for corn meal or flour

Boil it, let it soak overnight, then tie a hair rig and go catfishing.

A lot of people use corn as a substrate to grow oyster mushrooms on. It’s a bit of a process but you can grow indoors year round.
