Hi everyone! I’m in south Louisiana, growing in containers. Over the last couple months, most of my pepper plants have started to have unusual new growth – leaves are very small and curled. Sometimes there were seemingly little buds that never flowered, and some of them were kind of brittle and would fall off if I touched them.
It’s been crazy hot (plus I’m in containers) so I typically water every day. Fertilize usually once a week with Tiger Bloom. Something I read online indicated it could be due to overwatering. But I have one incredible banana pepper plant this year (serious 5 star plant!) that hasn’t had this issue, and I water my plants similarly in terms of amount and schedule.
One last thing, this is happening to different varieties of peppers (banana, bells, chile, biquinhos) in different spots in my yard (varying amounts of sun, neighboring plants, etc).
Can anyone help me? I just want to understand, even if ultimately it’s weather related or something I can’t change.

This sorta looks like herbicide damage, but I have no firsthand experience with it.
