Ruby Rose completed Special Forces Season 5 without injury, only to suffer a painful accident in her backyard after filming wrapped. The actress revealed that she broke multiple ribs while gardening. She opened up about the unexpected injury while promoting the Fox reality show.

Ruby told Us Weekly that she avoided injuries during the demanding competition. However, her luck changed after she returned home from filming.
“The irony is I didn’t get injured until I left — I broke all my ribs just gardening in the backyard,” she said.
Rose previously shared footage of the accident on Instagram in June. The video showed her walking beside a pool before losing her footing. She appeared to crash into a nearby wall before falling into the pool.
“That’s your girl,” Rose captioned the video. She added, “RIP to my ribs, and to the rest of my summer. They are broken, multiple.”
The accident came after Rose had completed the physically demanding Special Forces experience.
Rose said she was relieved to have avoided injuries during filming, particularly because of her previous back problems and recovery.
“I’d end up with an injury that would set me back from how far I’ve come,” she explained.
The actress admitted that she considered quitting during the competition. However, she said her concerns were not necessarily about the physical challenges themselves. Instead, she worried that the experience could undo her progress with her back.
Rose also revealed that the jungle environment presented some unexpected challenges. She struggled with being unable to touch the wild dogs around the camp.
“I think probably rabies, mange, diseases,” she said.
The actress also helped spiders during flooding near the shower area.
“I’d get them and move them, and all the guys were like, ‘Kill it!’ I’m like, ‘Never,’” Rose recalled.
Despite managing the physical demands, Rose said filming became emotionally exhausting.
“You’re tired, you’re exhausted physically, mentally, spiritually, underfed, underslept, wet,” she explained.
Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test Season 5 premiered on Fox on September 24. Rose’s experience now includes an unexpected injury that occurred after filming had ended.
