I’ve been growing my candy roaster squash on a trellis. Today I went out to harvest this one and it had fallen off the vine. The stem has been brown for about a week or so. Now I’m wondering if I waited too long, because it felt a bit lighter than I expected for its size. There are several more on the vine with stems that are still fully green, so if I made a mistake here I want to make sure I correct it with the remaining ones.
