Been a really good year for my garden huckleberry, peppers have also been really prolific. Lots of Paprika peppers, Serrano, Datil, Purple Jalapeños, Habaneros. Making lots of chili powders, pic is my paprika. Plus a butterfly!
What are y'all doing with your garden huckleberries? I'm thinking hot sauce or barbecue sauce.

OOOHHHHH! Huckleberries!!
How do the garden variety compare to wild ones? Hucks happen to be my lifelong favorite fruit. I would love to hear more about growing them in Colorado since we have a cabin at elevation in Southern Colorado.
Heads up, some of those berries aren’t ripe enough. They need to be dark purple/black to avoid toxicity. I’ve got a different cultivar of Black Nightshade (wonderberry) & accidentally ate one of mine at that purpley gray stage & it wasn’t pleasant! So I’d either see if the mid-ripe ones continue to ripen or sort through & only use fully ripe ones.
I’ve heard they make fantastic jam, but flea beetles decimated mine this year & I wasn’t able to forage wild ones. So I just plopped my berries into my native garden bed to see what happens next year! 😄
