It’s September in San Antonio Texas, so I would like to keep these alive until next growing season or keep them as a house plant. Should I just put her in soil or a container of water? Help. Thank you

If you want to grow sweet potatoes next season its better to start new slips just ahead of next season.

If you want to keep it as a houseplant, remove the slips from the potato and put them in dirt. You can root them in water too like a cutting, but they root fine straight into dirt.
