I was looking for some help IDing this tuber if possible, west midlands area found in the ground 6-8inches in a group.
When ingested (not by me!) created an instant tingling sensation and numb lips & tongue for around a week.. any ideas?

What does it smell like? Could it be horseradish? I’m assuming this was found in a veg plot? Safe to assume it’s not edible though
