    Cucuzza. Sometimes spelled cucuzzi. Its an Italian squash. Part of the gourd family.
    I have grown them the last 2 years. They have a light squash like flavor. Best to harvest them when about 12-18” long. At this length they can be cut up and cooked as you would any other summer squash. Any bigger and you will have to split length wise and scoop out the seeds first. I think that the skin becomes tough as well.
