Hello! I am a first time veggie gardener , I have 225L bed with compost and potting mix layers , I’m honestly going for a trial and error approach but still trying to keep things separated a bit to let them grow , my other flower bed was too crowded,
Currently have a tomato plant then next to it some sugar snap peas , then a small strip of carrots, then some lettuces. Will they still grow the cos lettuces if closer together than 30cm? Have I overdone it ? Idek

Your lettuce looks perfect! Honestly I literally just sprinkle multiple different lettuce seeds and let em grow. Whatever looks like it’s overcrowding gets thinned and eaten as baby lettuce. The bed looks beautiful. I always recommend a nice thick layer of mulch to conserve the water in the soil. I tend to prefer garden straw mulch since it’s already shredded up and easy to apply and will break down over the growing season, improving the soil.
