It’s my first year gardening and I’ve got mostly tomatoes and hot peppers. I built a raised bed with a frame and wrapped it with plastic netting to keep the critters out. Today I spotted something on the netting and as I looked I found more spots. So I cut out the spots and removed them. I’m guessing the ones with the greenish hue are hornworms. I’ve checked my plants and haven’t found any eggs directly on them but obviously they could’ve gotten past me. Yes I killed them with fire!

Isn’t nature amazing?
I let my hornworms live and eat, I had 5 on my datura plant alone. They disappeared recently and I’m hoping they emerge from the soil again because the datura has rebounded. I figure they knew how much they could eat before going into the soil for their transformation period.
People who kill these things baffle me. Let them live so they can turn into even more gorgeous pollinators, who pollinate your garden further.
You kill everything good luck with your plants. Ugh.
