The Kuekers created a GoFundMe page this week to help cover funeral and memorial costs and relieve some of the financial burden from his death. In just three days, the page has raised over $62,000 toward its $65,000 goal.
“My family and I want to thank everyone for their generosity and support,” Kloe Kueker stated on the GoFundMe page “We take comfort in knowing we can lay my dad to rest and some of our immediate needs have been taken care of. Thank you to all who are buying the Goose Big Love shirts and the band for making that possible. Thank you to everyone who has donated, brought food, sent cards and messages, and everyone who is helping us through this difficult time. It means a lot to us.”
Paul Kueker plunged 150 feet from suspended seating called the Chase Bridges, part of a $1 billion upgrade completed in 2013, authorities said.
New York City police received a 911 call at 9:51 p.m. and found Paul Kueker unconscious, police said. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police. The cause and manner of his death are pending further study, the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner said.
An NYPD spokesperson said on Monday that there is no criminal element to Paul Kueker’s death.
Paul Kueker was a father to two children and senior director of operations at Smartcon in Glastonbury, according to the GoFundMe page.
