What I’ve noticed
ML gardener kabocha: one medium-small and 2 small ones. Though they would come out bigger but most of them are equal to a little bigger than a baseball
(looking for better genetics could be user error though)
candystick delicata: up to 8 inches (thought they would be bigger based on the photos, but I looked it up and it seems to be normal) if they don’t taste, amazing will not be growing again mainly because of powdery mildew and size
Sweet dumpling: very compact plant that doesn’t interfere with any other part of the garden or squash. Would recommend to anybody growing in small places.
Red kuri: honestly had no problem with these until two of my young squash suddenly started turning reddish brown, and eventually died. I got two more growing back after that so I wasn’t too upset.
Long Island cheese pumpkin: had no real issue with these pumpkins at all. Love the way these pumpkins look and will probably grow them every year if they taste good.
Moranga pumpkin: this pumpkin doesn’t seem to be as durable as the Long Island cheese one and I’ve seen more harmful insects near this one, but because I grew so late in the season, a lot of those insects haven’t bothered my squash too much. One great thing about this pumpkin is I feel like it sends out a lot of female flowers.
