These are all over my tomatoes and they fall right off the plant they aren’t attached like a bug or egg would be.

This is mouse poop isn’t it 😭

UPDATE: okay so it’s caterpillars. I was out there 30 mins and only found one. Checked everywhere but it’s needle in a haystack tbh

Ya, it’s caterpillar poop. I usually find a green caterpillar horn worm because I see the poop.

The one thing they can’t hide…

I second u/Hyphen_Nation, you might just be looking at caterpillar droppings.

Don’t think so, mouse poop tends to be smoother.

    Frass. Probably a looper

Not likely. It’s probably caterpillar poopies.

Pro tip- find the freshest looking section of poop and look directly up from that on the plant for the caterpillar(s).

Uh oh. The hornworms have arrived.

    No its not.

Tbh it COULD be hummingbird poopies from how you describe location at tippy top of plant with no leaves above. They’ll certainly inspect red tomatoes.

I put up feeders for mine when I saw them.

  11. Send pics of the whole plant! We love playing the “find the horn worm” game.
