I am in NC and I have started planting all my brassicas in fall. I have them grow all winter and they do fine. I picked my broccoli at this stage this year and it was still tasty

To echo everyone here, now. Broccoli is really tough this time of year. It doesn’t like heat. I’ve never had luck getting big heads like the ones at the grocery store. These will still taste good.

I’m on it!
Before it turns that color, when heads are about 6”. Then you’ll get shoots from between the branches and the stems. I’m still getting those.
Update: all 3 have been harvested! Also got a fun, full harvest basket 😁
