Hi friends. I like to occasionally put a potato or carrot in a pot, mostly for the greenery if I'm honest but if I get a lil veg from it that's cool too. I like to do sweet potatoes for the foliage, but just for the chance of eating I grabbed some russet seed potatoes while browsing Lowe's and put em in a pot. This is them today. They've been really sad and look half ate up by something but I don't know what, since I don't really care about the outcome I wasn't watching very closely. Only other plants on my south facing patio are various pothos and their cousins. Any ideas?

How long have they been planted? Harvest time??
Towards the end the plant will die, so all the energy from the plant will go into the tators. Once the plant is all the way brown, go ahead and harvest!
