My kitty has refused this cat perch for several weeks. Ponytail palm and kitty are enemies, kitty chews her beautiful tendrils, so it needs to go UP! Does this look silly though?

looks fine, but they need a grow light 😉

What?

It looks cute!! It will look silly when they all die from lack of light though

If your cat is anything like my son’s cats, when you try to repurpose one of their toys, they suddenly find themselves excessively attracted to it! LOL

Who cares if it’s silly. This is what I’d ask myself:
Is it functional?
Does it make ME happy in my MY home?
(Sometimes the second question overrules the first😄)
Like Joe Pera picking grocery store produce, if it checks all boxes, let it ride.
These need high light, so yes, it looks silly, and so does the pilea. Can’t tell what the left plant is, but I keep both of those in a massive western window and have another of each outside getting direct midday sun (palm gets more).

On the contrary, it’s very spacious and there’s no visual clutter.

No, but you’ll want to add some light, and they may be hard to water there. That palm already looks like it needs light and maybe water (small base, thin leaves). It’s also going to eventually grow large enough to sit on the floor and take up that corner space.

It feels too high up, but lower would probably cause discomfort with sitting on the couch. I would have tried to space them further apart, but I also wouldn’t want to take it down and redo it so it works enough.

It doesn’t look silly but it does look impractical for when they need watered!

Hai avuto una bella idea! Ti consiglio di mettere una grow light che faccia la luce dall’alto perché sennò la pianta potrebbe crescere male e fare poche foglie
Not silly but it won’t get the right light
Not at all 🙂

I think they look awkward.
