I’m in West Yorkshire by the way. This bed has had no supplemental watering all year.

  2. Nice! I saw some of that Myrtle spurge in the botanics, I’m envious. What do you do with the bed over winter?

I’d love to have an area like this in my garden but worry about it all dying in the winter. Do you do anything to protect the plants from freezing temperatures and frost?

Love the use of the Californian poppies for the pop of colour. Have a few agaves in pots…planning a gravel garden over a massive old pond so they may end up in the ground in the next couple of years…even if we are in rural North Wales.

I got a large prickly pear cactus that stays out all year round, against a south facing wall, it’s growing like crazy, looks super healthy and doesn’t need watering.
