More than $20
How much are you charging? If you already did the work, you already have an invoice for the client (I hope).
If you told us that, we’d be able to tell you if you were too high or too low.

I would expect $$2k-3k at least to have that equipment out and spend a day placing those.
Maybe more if they have to do site prep before placement.
5-7k it’s not the amount of time it’s the equipment and knowledge.
Being in PA’s mountains, I’d kill for soil like that a few feet down. Every single hole I dig is a major chore because of the rock. Anything more than a fence post hole requires equipment.
Medium cost of living area; $130/hr is lowest I’d charge for this. Figure up your mobilization/fuel charge (for me its $650) and whatever fabric cost you and charge that.
I miss the days when 15k was the standard answer in this sub. That didn’t last long enough

Where I live, $150 per hr for the machine, $70 per hr for the operator.
$220 x 13 =$2,860.00 + fabric $300 + expertise and profit = $4000.
Especially without a swivel on the bucket 😊.

Is it just the field stone walls? Looks great but that should take you way less than 13hrs with a mini excavator and operating executing a vision detailed by the customer. Of course the customer had no vision or idea of what they wanted to I get it. They never have vision such that all of us installers become “free” landscape designers too. It’s hard to price very small jobs but yeah around $1,000-1,200 give or take plus materials
You need to be profitable. I’ve done similar here in Southern pa, amd would be around 14k

You did it wrong. Largest go on the he bottom. Every second row fills the space ebtween the previous 2. Looks bad.

3500 daily rate for excavator and 3 man crew if your only pricing labor and equipment. That’s assuming at least 2 to 3 days of work.

I just did a big stone wall…basalt boulders. Two men, two machines, fill, full week of work. $14K. Had a skid steer on site and an excavator. Worth every penny even though it pained me greatly. Some skills are well earned and it would take me many weeks to place those rocks like that. Those machines cost nearly a $100K or more new, plus the 1 ton pickup truck they use to tow the big trailer. Toss in 100 gallons of diesel or more. Bring money, don’t complain.

I have been working on this off an on all summer. I’m all done except planting grass. It cost me $800 for the stone delivered and I used and old dolly and engine hoist. If you’re into manual labor. I’m only out $800
