That kitten’s already approved the garden layout, so you’re pretty much locked in now. The stone border does a nice job defining the beds without looking too formal, which fits the cottage garden feel the flowers have going. If you’re redesigning, I’d lean into that vibe and maybe add some low-growing ground cover between the stones to soften the edges over time.

The picnic table in back looks like it could use its own defined space, maybe with a few stepping stones leading to it so it feels intentional rather than just plopped down. A small herb patch near the table would be practical too, grab some basil or chives while you’re eating outside.

Whatever you do, leave a sunny patch open for the cats. They’ve clearly claimed the place and will absolutely judge any changes you make.

Don’t try to fix something that isn’t broken. The garden is pretty cute as is

It’s so beautiful! I would be so proud of this garden!

  4. So pretty! Maybe add some green ground cover that plays well with roses and the geranium.

Kittens and roses 🥹 Leave your grandparents be, they seem to have life figured out.
