Random idea for your big funny face juniper…. Could you install a mister line to the upper area that goes off periodically to keep it from being a hot dry environment for the spider mites? Just a thought.
42:07 To Linda Murphy- you’re safe to eat fruits and vegetables that have been heated above 158°F. Cyclospora is killed at 158°. So making a cobbler or something similar is safe!
I don’t know if this has been suggested yet, but the problem with the lavender is a great opportunity for you to show your viewer how to do a soil test . You have probably over amended that soil for years doing your cut flower garden there with compost upon compost upon fertilizer, you probably have a buildup of some mineral and it’d be interesting to soil test what’s going on, even if you are gonna plant something else in its place.
I remember the first time Aaron sat down in front of the camera with Laura, wow that seems so long ago. My #1 you tuber I only have two. Laura and Linda.
Question about hair loss! What did you say was the name of the product you finally found worked for hair loss??? Heard you, but I'm not even remembering half the name❤
Watching from San Antonio Texas Zone 9a/b where it was 94 degrees and 49% humidity. After pulling some dead caladium leaves I am resting/cooling down enjoying this episode of GA Recap. Love getting the flashbacks to the various sections of property at the we just bought stage.
Hi Laura and Arron good info on drenching your plants it will pay off for you big time when I have the time I water twice a week this has been my best year for hanging baskets in fact I just took advantage of your product sale and bought fertilizer for next year treated myself to a new pair of falcos thank you for all you do for our gardening community .
I enjoyed the memories of your dirt land garden. I loved the all the little experimental gardens you created for the kids, like the sunflowers and the butterfly gardens
I think the lady with the fruit fear statement is she's afraid of that parasite that is hitting America because of the lack of water regulations right now. Not everyone can grow large fruit vines on their property. I fed birds blackberries that were bought at the store one year and the vines completely took over my yard after that. We've battled them for about 15 years and the blackberry vines are still everywhere. We live on a third of an acre which is what most people's property is, so growing most of everything that you get to grow isn't an option for us.
Oh come on Aaron…………..that whimsical face on the Juniper is FUN! LOL. The first time I saw it, it just cracked me up. Now, I look for it every time Laura walks past that tree. 👀
at 15 my first job was at the sandwich shop in Nordstroms. which meant I got the nordy ee discount (yay!) which also applied to sale prices (double yay)! Even the $14 levis – they had a whole wall of them in the men's dept.. even then that was a killer price. 🙂
A word to the wise if you are thinking about dehydrating onions or garlic…. do it outside or in an area you don't care if your whole house smells like onions or garlic. Still love making our own, but I learned the first time what not to do in the future.
Thanks for another fun recap video. I’m curious why you don’t plant red onions, to me they’re purple. Maybe you have but I don’t remember. I LOVE the succulent planters. Those planters are always different and they’re always so pretty. Have you ever planted anything in them that you really didn’t like?
I just heard you say you saw a snake by the pond. Just wait you’ll be swimming in a snake resort very soon. I had a pond several years ago and had to remove it due to the amount of snakes.
I did not mean anything wrong with the power lines question. I apologize but I do have the electric company destroy my trees. I am glad everyone doesn't
Hi Laura and Aaron. Your story of valuing work is inspiring. It’s interesting to hear how both of you worked hard as young teenagers and were careful with your money. Have you talked about your approach with your children? Will you take a Warren Buffett approach or will you give advantage to your kids that you didn’t have?

Please keep the face if you take the juniper down and put it on Aaron's favorite tree .😜

People ask the strangest questions. I absolutely love how you answer them so eloquently. I learn a lot from you and it’s not just gardening knowledge.

Do you think the heat in their area is the reason their chitalpas are so fragrant?

Lemon juice or citric acid is a required element to safely water bath can ingredients that are not inherently acidic or for mixed foods.

I feel that you don't have to explain if you came from money or not. I can see you are hard workers and nobody hand you your current success

Fertilizer question – Can I still use Treetone at the drip line for my tree if my tree is in lawn grass?

I guess the person was asking about the infected lettuce that is making people sick with a virus?

I hope the Juniper tree debate ends with finding the person who would want and pay for the harvested wood! That would be great!!
Does Nepeta invade like regular mint. I am having a time getting rid of mint.
