I dug up these pepper plants last year and brought them into the garage for the winter, set them out in the spring and they’re producing, full-size plants by the end of July.
I had a mad hatter pepper last 5 years by protecting it through winter My friend had several other varieties last 7 yrs. It is very much worth the effort. Also, eggplant will live years that way and produce fast in spring/early summer depending on weather where they live.

Pepper plants can live for years with proper care! No need to do any bare root treatment here in South FL.🌶️❣️
