I posted a couple days ago regarding my backyard pavers I had done by a contractor . Safe to say many people on here don’t like what I did to my back living space (technically i’m not allowed to call it a backyard).
Besides the aesthetics there was a major problem regarding the pavers being tight to the fence and lack of drainage.
The contractor has agreed to come back in a few days and push the pavers away from the fence, concrete edging on the pavers and dolomite rocks between the pavers and fence.
It’s clear the contractor didn’t consider this initially which makes me lose faith on what their correction will look like. However my main question is:
Is this a good correction to the job? Is there less he can do or more he should be doing? Or is this the adequate solution?

In general I think it should be sufficient drainage, but it does depend on your climate/soil. If you have slow draining soil and get heavy downpours, it might get overwhelmed. But generally speaking, a ~1 foot wide perimeter of well draining rock should work.
One thing I’d suggest is that he dig the compacted soil out of that area at least a foot or so deep, and replace it with the rock. If he just dumps rock on compacted soil it’s not going to drain well.
Yikes, this looks like a beautifully done job. Seems like you’re *that client*. Maybe wait until it rains to see if it’s even an issue.
