Fortnite’s new Sprite Garden will give players a place to showcase their Season 3 collection while adding a new generation of Sprites in Season 4: Override.
Epic Games has confirmed that Sprites aren’t disappearing when Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 ends.
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override will introduce a new generation of Sprites with new powers and variants, quality-of-life improvements based on player feedback, and additional ways to discover them. More importantly for anyone who spent Season 3 building a collection, those Sprites will carry forward.
Epic is also creating a dedicated Sprite Garden where players can interact with their collected Sprites, visit friends’ gardens, and show off their collections.
The announcement comes just as players are hunting the recently released Gem Sprite variants and trying to fill the remaining gaps in their Season 3 collections.
Fortnite Sprite Garden Will Preserve Your Collection
The Sprite Garden will serve as a permanent home for the Sprites players have collected during Chapter 7 Season 3: Runners.
Epic describes it as an island getaway where players can interact with their Sprites, visit friends’ garden sanctuaries, and display their collections. New Sprites collected during Season 4 will automatically appear in the Garden as well.
The experience is being developed with Fairview Portals and Beyond Creative, and Epic says it will evolve over time.
Season 3 Sprites will also remain on the Sprite Collection page. They can unlock styles for the Sprite Mastery Pod Back Bling and appear as pilots in the Guardian Outfit.
Epic has even left open the possibility of Sprites from previous generations returning later, giving players another opportunity to add ones they missed.

Your Season 3 Sprite Collection Isn’t Going Away
There is one important distinction between the Sprites players have collected and the resources used to manage them.
Extracted Season 3 Sprites will remain part of the player’s collection. Sprite Dust and Gizmos, however, will reset when the season ends.
That gives collectors a reason to use those resources rather than stockpile them for Override.
The timing is particularly relevant for Gem Sprites. The Gem variants arrived near the end of Runners, leaving a much shorter window to hunt them than many of the season’s earlier Sprites.
Epic previously acknowledged that some players obtained Gem Sprites early through the Sprite Hunt Rift Anomaly. Those prematurely obtained Sprites were temporarily disabled, with Epic saying they would return to players’ inventories once the variants officially released.
Players trying to finish their collections still have Epic’s weekly Sprite events available during the remainder of Runners.

Five Design-A-Sprite Winners Are Coming in Season 4
Season 4 will also introduce five Sprites created from community submissions to Epic’s Design-A-Sprite contest.
Epic originally announced that three designs would be selected, but five community creations ultimately made the cut from more than 20,000 submissions.

The abilities above come from the submitted concepts and shouldn’t be treated as final gameplay specifications until Epic confirms how each Sprite will work in-game.
Epic plans to introduce the winning Sprites through updates during Override rather than releasing all five at the start of the season.

How to Finish Your Sprite Collection Before Season 4
Players still missing Sprites should prioritize extracting rare variants rather than simply finding them during a match. A Sprite only becomes part of the permanent collection after a successful extraction.
Players can deposit Sprites at Extraction Sites, use Portable Extractor Gizmos when available, or carry them to a Victory Royale, which automatically extracts the Sprites they have with them.
Epic’s weekly events can make the remaining hunt easier. Mastery Mondays increase Legendary and Mythic Sprite appearances, double Sprite leveling speed, and award twice the Sprite Dust from extractions.
Saturday Power Hours are aimed specifically at completing collections. Epic changes the featured Sprites and gameplay modifiers each week, giving players an increased opportunity to obtain variants they may still be missing.
Reaching Level 5 with a Sprite and extracting it at maximum level also counts toward Sprite Mastery and its associated rewards.
What to Expect From Sprites in Fortnite Season 4
Override won’t simply recycle the current Sprite lineup.
Epic says Season 4 will bring an entirely new generation with different powers and variants alongside quality-of-life changes to the collection system. The Sprite Garden will also extend the system outside regular Battle Royale matches and give existing collections a purpose after Runners ends.
The five Design-A-Sprite winners will expand that lineup through mid-season updates.
Epic hasn’t detailed every new Sprite, ability, Garden feature, or release date yet. More information on how the Sprite Garden works and evolves is expected as Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override approaches.
For players still hunting Gem Sprites or other missing Season 3 variants, the important part is already confirmed: the collection isn’t being wiped when the new generation arrives.
