I have no idea what I'm doing. Zone 8b apparently. Never grown anything in 36 years. I started with tomatoes and cucumbers in March and now I have a jungle on my carport and a god-complex with zinnias.
My little chaos garden keeps surprising me by being fulfilling in ways I didn't know I needed. It's brought a whole ecosystem right to my front door.

It’s gorgeous. And lizard baby is so smol. Honestly, gardening and composting ground me so much. There’s so much joy that comes from being outside and getting your hands in the soil.
Sometimes being in the garden is the best part of my day. I do believe it’s therapeutic. A return to our roots. I don’t even have to be tending the plants really, just standing there looking them over makes me happy lol. It feels nice to work up a sweat working in the garden too. Only downside is the mosquitos.
