Amateur growers battling the elements or bugs can get top tips when the evergreen Radio 4 Gardeners’ Question Time team visits the Forest this month for a diamond date.
They will arrive in the village of Minstead in advance of the 75th anniversary of the Minstead Flower, Fruit and Vegetable Show, and be ready to help with any gardening-related questions.

The recording of the BBC programme will take place at the village hall on Tuesday 25th August, with doors opening at 5pm to give the audience time to compose their questions for the panel.
Show organisers will welcome those who simply want to see how the programme is made, or meet the experts who travel the country trying to answer questions to help next summer’s blooms and produce survive in an ever-changing climate.

Refreshments will be provided and there will be an opportunity to enter any of the classes at the Minstead Flower Show being staged just 10 days after the recording – and the day after the main recording is broadcast.
