I recently picked this up from my local United grocery store. I’m not sure what variety it is. So far it gets direct North Texas sun till around 2pm. I’ve read they like a lot of sun so I plan to acclimate it to all day sun. Can it tolerate full Texas sun? I also don’t plan on repotting it this season.

That’s nice quality! Sarracenia purpurea, I’d hazard a guess that it’s subspecies venosa.
They can take the heat and sun just fine when acclimated. Full sun plants, like flytraps. Probably even a little easier than flytraps.
The only carnivorous plant I’ve ever seen in a retail store is a VFT.
Purpurea venosa or hybrid containing the sub species. Surprisingly healthy for a grocery store sarr! You must have had some luck on your side with the shipment timing.. it will do great with the care you’re giving it, make sure to top water and fill the pitchers.
