I don’t know what to do to keep these alive. It seems that watering doesn’t do much. It gets worse by the day. The middle one has died. I’m in south florida if that helps.

    The rocks are cooking the plant. It may be too late, but if you remove all the rocks and replace it with mulch you should be able to keep something alive.

    FYI: the rock is doing the same thing to your house, reflecting heat onto your house for many hours after the sun goes down each day.

    The brown mark is at dog pee height. Do you have a male dog? Dog urine can kill plants.

    You planted arborvitae’s (they look like at least) which are thirsty plants in…. Rocks.
