Despite my inability to have a garden (deer and land), I want you to know I always glean tips from you watching you do your garden work! Your efficiency in everything you do, whether in the garden or in the kitchen is a joy to watch and extremely helpful! โค
Hi Laura, your onions are so big and beautiful. You and Aaron are the best! โฅโฅโฅโฅโฅโฅโฅโฅโฅโฅโฅ
Great harvest of onions!
Laura, you could use a little stool instead of kneeling.
Just a thought – do you ever go to Weiser to shop vintage/thrift shops? It is such a cute town, or at least it was years ago when I lived in Cambridge. And how about Payette? Watching you guys shop is so much fun. It motivates me to get out of here and go do the same thing in Portland and Vancouver.
The front gate area looks so pretty! I also really like the placement of the new evergreens. Just imagine what those mixed borders will look like in another ten years!
Always enjoy a video of Laura & Aaron planting together. ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ Aaron brought a smile when he asked Laura if she ever was so angry that she wanted to plant him in the garden. ๐ฒIt brought to mind an episode of Agatha Raisin, a British cozy whodunit series on Acorn, and the serial murderer was trashing English gardens right before the town's best garden contest, and actually planted a person upside down in a huge pot. Cool that you share your mega onion harvest with family. ๐ง ๐ฅฐ๐ง ๐ฅฐ๐ง ๐ฅฐ๐ง ๐ฅฐ๐ง
For future harvests…. could Aaron or Paul add a trailer hitch (wheels if needed) to your greenhouse/high tunnel table(s) to take out to the field for your harvest (onion/potatoes) to streamline your harvest/curing process?
Put those kiddos to work doing this !
WOW ON THE ENTIRE ENTENCE
I love the hydrangeas at the entrance. Have you ever considered putting some to the left of the mailhouse? I think that would be really pretty.
Aaron and Laura I am looking for resources on tree root structure by variety. Growers give height and width but not the way the roots grow. Any ideas ?
How about an English sculpture in your garden? I saw this and thought of you two. Since we can't share links, go to the website of English Salvage in the UK and see item #39699. Godspeed, Julie Horney'
Donโt forget to save your largest onion for your dad! ๐๐คฃ๐ง
The faint shame when fixing the mulch ๐

My husband used to call that stale air in the house 'houseitosis'! I'm west of the Cascades up in WA, and my air isn't nice enough to open the windows yet. I am EAGERLY waiting for that… Taller stake for the new redwood – could you get another bamboo pole and just zip tie it on to the first pole, with enough overlap for stability? So you wouldn't need to pull out the original pole and reinsert the taller new one?
So sweet of Aaron hep you with your planting project Laura…wow the onions are so big…i buy me wala wala seeds to plant next….
Hey Laura I want to tell u that I tried your cobbler recipe but with fresh peaches and omg it was Devine and so easy to make thank you for sharing
Your front gate area is becoming one of my favourites on your property! I love mass plantings and hedges! ๐
How do you get such huge onions?! My yellow sweet Spanish are a fraction of that size. Maybe Michigan weather is not ideal for onions. ๐
Oh boy you got a lot of onions today great harvest.love seeing you and Aaron working together great planting from you both today
Are you guys on a well or do you all have City water? And if you're on City water do you mind me asking how much y'all spend on water a month?
Those onions are amazing.
I โค Aaron personality. ๐
I will never get over the energy you have! I truly admire all you get accomplished! The property is looking amazing, more and more so! I can't wait for the day you add the horses. It really will be a dream then. ๐ฆ๐๐ฆ
Awesome onion harvest! The recipients are very lucky. So nice to see you and Aaron working together get this. An unexpected pleasure. Your front entrance is a showcase! It's a picture from a Better Homes and Gardens magazine. Absolutely magnificent and you should be very proud of your efforts. Amazing video!
How many Weeping Willow Trees do you have and what are their proper names?!
I've been meaning to say "Thank You" for putting your temps in degree C for those of us not in the US; it's a much appreciated gesture. ๐
Question about staking the leader. I have a young weeping willow that is kind of doing the same thing. Is that maybe natural for that type of tree or should I give it some help? Planted last year, doubled if not tripled in size this year. I have the trunk staked just like the redwood tree you show here. How do you get the bamboo in the hard ground?
Great video today. I love when you and Aaron work together. The two smaller evergreens are beautiful ๐๐ช๐ผ๐ฟ
You have some "BLOOMING ONION " Contenders !
you can also can onions…

do you re-use the drip tape for next crop?
Love it x ( u k )
Is your ground hard? That might be why the onions split
Big Berta is perhaps a play on the variety Alberta Spruce๐ Thanks for sharing your garden journey with us!
wow! do you still compete with your dad on the size of the onions? lol.. i think you win! what a harvest! those hydrangeas out by the front gate are spectacular, what a beautiful entry… love the spruces and shrubs… every day i watch and say wow, look at how much they have planted; it's getting so full of things.. i hope we are all still around to see them in another few years!!! what a gorgeous garden space it will be… ๐ฅฐโคthanks for the video!๐ฅฐโค
