Not sure if this is the right place to post.
I went to a petting zoo in Wisconsin- I'll reveal which one if it's relevant. All of the animal sections had normal plants except the donkey and pony who were together in a section filled with these plants. I thought it was odd the plants were just in that one section – a good amount too spread througout. Both animals were twitching.
Are these not highly toxic and deadly weeds? Do they grow randomly or do you think it's purposeful?
Not sure if they're using them to euthanize the animals or if they're just neglectful.
Anyone a plant expert? Maybe I'm missidentifying?
They were the only plants in their section other than normal grass.

All Datura are toxic . Many animals know not to eat them, but the problem is most of them smell like peanut butter if you crush up the leaves or seeds. I would have removed them the first time I saw them.
This is definitely datura. Those poor animals are prob not having a good time.
