See, my heirloom cherry tomatoe seedlings were flung out my green house and I just shoved them, zucchini, bell peppers, and jalapenos into the raised garden. I figured at first they look like tomatoes because they were still little guys. But now I'm 2-3 months in and I've no idea. They seem to be growing in the same spots I panic planted my cherries. What have I been growing 😭!! I can clearly see zucchini and the pepper leaves. This thing is nearly 4ft tall now. What is it and why did it eat my babies☹️💔

That’s a very large, robust ragweed plant. Sorry.

I’m pretty sure that’s ragweed lol 😂 most well cared for weed ever

If the underside of the leaves are green it’s probably ragweed, white it’s mugwort

Clearly you dont have ragweed allergies hahaha

That does not look like a tomato plant.

Every Dogweed has its day, but this one had multiple.

I think there may be one tomato plant way back on the right side. The rest, though – sorry, that’s a weed.

It does smell lovely after it rains. I Chop it down before it goes to seed. Has stickers.

  9. Those poor tomatoes in the middle-ish. For reference, the struggling plant is a tomato. Bottom right corner of the first pic

Edit: Showed pic to my mother and she said one of the plants next to the tomato might be lamb’s quarter. An edible plant. Verify with someone else, but that’s something at least if correct.

Lol I have some carrots growing for the first time this year and I had been weeding fairly diligently .. well anyways there was one which I thought was a carrot seedling and it was growing faster and bigger than the rest. I was thinking it looks like a carrot but also doesn’t and it is getting too big, I out my finger in the soil and felt roots but no carrot.

Google lens told me it was a ragweed. I feel better now knowing that I’m not alone

This happened to me too. I thought I was growing marigolds.

That is the weed that snuffed out your tomatoes. I see pigweed there too, and other unwanted plants.

Worst weed ever, so hard to get rid of.

Can’t you smell the tomato-i-ness? I just touch a leaf and my hands smell like tomatoes.

I’m so allergic to ragweed, I’d be dead lol

lol. Weeds. And I’m laughing WITH you. Just had a ton of those growing in my flower bed. And I was showing it off to one of my neighbors and explaining I’ll probably look beautiful when it blooms. But it’s a weed. And they spread quickly.

Wow, I thought it was a marigold!

I ended up getting a plant identification app for a big plant I was unsure about. It was also a weed.

    🤪

bro I was so proud of my marigolds that popped up from last years seeds until they bloomed as ragweed
(in my defense they are related)
