I built this patio in the yard this summer. The grass is still thickening up but I think it is looking good.
My wife and I have been in our place for about two years now. The previous owner put these awful rubber paver things in the yard. We hated it so, I DIYd this. A real landscaper would probably turn their nose up at this. It is far from perfect but, it was my first time landscaping and I learned a lot.
We honestly never used our yard before. It was all gravel and not inviting. I got this pretty much done a few weeks ago and we’ve already had two yard hangs with friends.
Second picture is before. I just did a small section with grass. There’s still a lot of gravel haha.

This is hard work and you should be proud! Great job and just in time to relax and enjoy the fruits of your labour in August. Those rubber pavers are awful and good to get rid of 👍
