A London woman was baffled when she spotted a fox in her back garden in the middle of the night – dragging around a late night snack it had nicked from someone else

Love or hate them, foxes are a common sight in London at night. These wild animals are very much at home in the capital, where the red fox population stands at roughly 10,000. And as we’re in the middle of summer, it means the small cubs are now causing havoc in parks and gardens alike.
While most foxes visiting your garden or a park often will come and go without a trace, the younger cubs can sometimes bring the chaos, and maybe leave behind a surprise or two for people to notice in the morning.
This was what happened to one Londoner named Ranvia Johal, who spotted a fox running around in her back garden at 4am one morning. But nothing could prepare her for what the fox had brought with it.
“If anyone is mysteriously missing a bag of large Yorkshire puddings, then no worries because fantastic Mr Fox dragged them into my back garden at 4am last night,” Ranvia wrote on her TikTok video, as she went on to share the clip of the fox playing in her garden.

The footage clearly shows the fox running around her back garden, dragging a transparent plastic bag stuffed full of Yorkshire puddings firmly in its mouth.
As the cheeky creature drags its haul across the lawn, several Yorkshire puddings fall out and onto the grass, prompting the fox to sniff them curiously before gleefully setting about tearing the remainder of the bag apart.
The clip went on to rack up hundreds of thousands of views in just a few days, with countless viewers heading to the comment section to share their reactions to the bizarre yet amusing encounter.
“Imagine if you hadn’t witnessed this and just woke up to Yorkshire puddings scattered across your garden,” one person commented. Another joked: “It’s like the Easter Bunny but from Yorkshire.”
A third pointed out: “They’d be ever so dry. I would have hopped up and made him some Bisto.”
Meanwhile, a fourth confessed: “This is the most British thing I’ve ever seen.”
How to stop foxes entering your garden
While it may seem cute to have wild foxes finding their way into your garden, it may soon turn into a nightmare, as the animals are known for being loud and disruptive. But luckily, there are simple ways to keep them away.
According to the RSPCA, they recommend co-existing peacefully with foxes, as these animals only tend to come out at night when no one else is around. However, if you’d rather not share your garden with them, they recommend to remove any access to food resources, such as removing bird feeders, protect fruit and vegetable patches with fences or solid weld-mesh, and to properly seal bins and composters securely, to prevent access to scraps.
You should also keep any pets, such as rabbits, indoors or in a secure enclosure at night, with a solid roof and floor and weld-mesh fencing, and a secure lock on the door.
