I bought a house and there are three pine trees that are protected by an easement. These pine trees are destroying the deck and outdoor furniture with sap. We have cut back limbs as far as we can reach.

Does anyone have any good ideas to help this area not get covered in sap?!

Who owns the easement? The town? If so put them on written notice that they are destroying your property and the trees need to be removed. If they refuse, lawyer up

Pine sap is tough because there’s not really a way to stop it without changing the tree. I’d check what the easement allows for trimming, then focus on covers for the furniture and protecting the deck area. Definitely read the easement rules before cutting anything else.
